NTU Cultural Activities Club

The NTU Cultural Activities Club (CAC) is one of the four non-academic constituent clubs in the university, established with the aim of fostering greater cultural awareness and interests among the NTU student population.

CAC is an umbrella organisation consisting of 23 member clubs, 5 support committees and 5 special projects, working hand in hand as staunch advocates of the performing arts. The club continues to attain considerable popularity and recognition within the university as well as from the public in our mission to promote a vibrant campus experience through activities pertaining to the performing arts and cultural activities. In CAC, there is always room for all of our members to shine regardless of our diverse interests and motivations – represented through our slogan ‘Many Faces, One Club’.

More than 500 students join the CAC family every year to pursue their passion in the performing arts and event management, making the club one of the largest student organisations in NTU. Besides the new faces that join our large family, CAC also enjoys continual support from our alumni in our journey to nurture the artistic talents of NTU and transform the university into an arts and cultural hub worthy of international mention.

Our Mascot: ARTIE

The choice to name our fox mascot “Artie” is a playful and endearing nod to the core of our club’s vision to nurture the artistic talents of NTU and transform NTU into an Arts and Cultural hub worthy of international mention. “Artie” not only reflects the word “art” but also exudes a friendly and approachable persona, aligning with our commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment within the Cultural Activities Club.

The fox, with its ability to thrive in different environments and habitats, reflects our club’s commitment to embracing diverse artistic expressions. Our members come from various backgrounds, showcasing the diversity of talent and cultural richness within our performing arts clubs.

Red is universally recognised as a colour that embodies passion, energy, and vitality. It resonates with the enthusiasm and dynamism present in our club’s pursuits, igniting the fervour for cultural exploration and artistic expression among NTU students.

Artie, adorned in the club shirt, symbolises unity and a sense of belonging. By wearing the club shirt, he exemplifies inclusivity and solidarity among the diverse range of cultural activities and performing arts sub-clubs within our organisation. It signifies that despite our varied interests and talents, we are united under the common goal of promoting cultural awareness and appreciation.
